Baccarat is a very popular card game that is played in casinos throughout the world. Baccarat – as described by Seymour in 1897
This game is known throughout England by the name of “Baccara Banque” or simply “Baccara” as well it is played in France as “Baccara two tableaux” or Baccara with two tables. Baccarat – Chemin de Fer
In France this variation of the game is known as Baccara Un tableau (Baccara using a single table) however in the UK and US it’s more commonly referred to as Chemin de Fer. Seymour identified this as a variant of Baccarat and the meaning is that the double-table game was invented first.
The version that is played here Baccarat differs in two primary ways to Baccarat a deaux tableaux. First, for every deal in which a player does not go “Banco”, the banker plays only against the player to the banker’s right and the banker is paid by all players. Secondly, the bank changes hands much more regularly – when a dealer loses a coup the role of the banker is transferred to the player on banker’s left.
