DJI Osmo Action 3 design
Action 3 Action 3 appears remarkably similar to the original DJI Action camera, which was an excellent camera, however, it may have been a bit too much like GoPro. Action 3 Action 3 is unique in that its front-facing screen has been made touch-sensitive, that allows you to alter settings even when the camera is in front of you, for instance when you shoot vlog-style videos. Since I shoot a lot of YouTube videos that resemble vlogs I am extremely grateful for this feature. I also like The battery doors on Action 2, which is simple to use while remaining water-proof and secure.
DJI Action 3 image quality
If you like the look of the video footage taken by Action 2 Action 2, you’ll also enjoy it with the Osmo Action 3. For me the distinction is almost not noticeable. The default color profile is perhaps too saturated, but I personally love the design of it. Action 3 Action 3 can shoot in 4K with up to 120fps. It can also shoot with 240 fps up to 1080p. The 1080p resolution is just as mushy and ugly as you’d expect, however, 4k 120fps is pretty impressive. The resolution is limited to 4k that’s fine when you need to share straight-out camera footage with no editing. It’s just not as good with the Hero 11 black’s 5.3k highest resolution or bigger sensor, which provides more flexibility when it comes to post-processing.

The front and rear screens in the Action 3 are bright with great colors. Its larger screen on its rear side is more user-friendly as opposed to the smaller screen on the Action 2, and the integrated front screen means that it doesn’t require an additional module to get front-facing displays.
DJI Action 3 durability and waterproofing
Its Osmo Action 3 is remarkable in the way the device can be dropped, and submerged. It is drop-resistant up to five feet , and completely waterproof down to 52 feet deep. It’s also rated to be used between minus four between 113 and negative four degrees. That’s some impressive numbers, and they’re apparent in the incredibly robust appearance on the body of the camera. I am awestruck by the rubber ring that surrounds the lens. There’s a major issue however, in making use of the camera in real life it is that the plates with magnetic properties of the special mounting mechanism have a naive tendency to attract the magnetic particles in sand. I haven’t had any issues with overheating , or other issues with performance when shooting using Action 3. Action 3. This DJI Mimo application can also be used to control the camera in addition to uploading and editing footage.
Audio recording is excellent I’d be comfortable with the Action 3 to shoot vlog-style videos on its on its own. If you’re looking to get greater audio quality, connect into the DJI Mic in the Action 3 and record via the great wireless microphone. When I played with this, it was a very easy plug-and play experience. The only set-up hassle being unclipping the USB-C port off the Action 3 to make way for the DJI Mic.

DJI Osmo Action 3 price and availability
Action 3 is available now. Action 3 is available now with a price starting at $330 price mark. Although I’m still not a fan of the innovative design of Action 2, the DJI Osmo Action 3 is an outstanding camera for action that stands with the best from brands like GoPro or Insta360. Although, at the end, I’m not sure that it’s a step ahead of other cameras of this type all-in-all, it has some important advantages.
If you require a more robust camera This is the model to pick, especially with the protective frame that is included. If you’re planning on diving The Action 3 can go all to a depth of 52 feet without a separate diving case. Another major selling point is the quick-release magnetic feature which is certainly beneficial in the event that you require to swap mounts in a hurry.
