Dear Geoffrey #1

Dear Geoffery,

I am a young man embarking on a highly promising career; I’m tall, athletic and have often been complimented on my good looks. The world should be at my feet. Yet I seem to be trapped in a cycle of dysfunctional relationships with my father’s middle-aged male work colleges.

The pattern emerging is that things start out fine, all smiles and compliments on my length. But as soon as I have success at work I’m accused of running off celebrating without asking their permission first, whilst if things don’t go my way I apparently become petulant and demanding.

It doesn’t help that I often have to keep two or three of these ‘older gentlemen’ happy at the same time, and I know for a fact they often get together to compare notes. In fact I’ve become quite a hot topic on the ‘scene’.

I’m concerned that eventually my father will find out I’m being disciplined on a regular basis.

Please help.

Yours,

S
